MCA ACADEMY TOURNAMENT -SPONSORSHIP CHEQUE HANDING OVER

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The MCA Cricket Development Committee together with the MCA Tournament Committee will conduct the 14th edition of the Inter Academy U-13 & U-15 30 Over Tournaments 2019 from 07th to 21st December 2019.

The tournaments are held in culmination of MCA Cricket Academy’s 17th Anniversary Celebrations.

DFCC Bank has come forward to sponsor the tournament for the first time .

The 20 Academies participating in the U-13  segment are:

MCA (03 teams),  SSC, NCC, CCC, SPS Rambukkana,  Hemantha Ranasinghe CA, Sudath Nanayakkara CA, Ragama CA, Panadura CA, Brendon Kuruppu CA (new team), Serendib International CA, Kingfisher CA, Colombo Premier, Ready to Surpass Achievement CA, Rehan Sports (new team) Mahara CA, Sasitha Amarasinghe CA & Ashoka de Silva CA.

20 teams, including 03 new comers will play in the U-15 segment.

MCA (02 boys Teams & 01 girls team),  SSC, NCC, CCC, SPS Rambukkana, Hemantha Ranasinghe CA, Sudath Nanayakkara CA, Ragama CA, Panadura CA, Sasitha Amarasinghe CA, Kingfisher CA, Serendib International CA, Colombo Premier CA, Ashoka de Silva, Champ CA,  Chandana Rathnayake CA,  Brendon Kuruppu CA & Swingers CA (all three teams are  playing  for the first time) A total of 94 matches including the 02 finals are spread around, MCA, DSS, Mattegoda, NSCA /Ratmalana, Ananda Sasthralaya/Kotte and CMS / Kotte.

The Special Awards offered for both tournaments are

Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Captain, Most Disciplined team, Player of the Tournament & Player of the  Final.

In the 2018 Finals played on 22nd of December 2018 at the MCA Grounds, CCC won the U-13 tournament, beating MCA “Blue” by 08 wickets and NCC won the U-15 tournament, beating Hemantha Ranasinghe CA (HRCA) by 06 wickets.

The sponsorship handing over ceremony and the media conference was held on Thursday, 28th November at the MCA Fine Dining Restaurant “The Pitch”, 5.30 pm.
