[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Cricketing Legend Kumar Sangakkara made sure he leaves young athletes with a lesson for the life when he visited as the chief guest for the closing ceremony of the International National School Athletics Championship (ISAC) 2019 at the Sugathadasa stadium last Sunday.
“Forget what people before you have done.. Just make sure that ..When you have the opportunity to address a generation that follows that you have ensured that all of Sri Lanka combined together celebrates as one “
“Sometimes you get confuse. When you running a race or when I was playing cricket sometime you get carried away thinking the whole purpose is to beat the opposition .beat the person next to you . Yes in an isolated race or match that will determine the winning or losing. But in a large scheme of thing in this great game of life the whole point is not to be better than someone else . but to be the best that you can be. And that requires character and strength and it also needs honesty .That’s why these formative years are so important . “
“Education is a great tool .Your university degree open doors. What you choose to do afterwards in term of a profession will be as result of skills that you have learned and developed throughout the years. Don’t confuse your skills with your identity. Your identity is the most important thing. It defines who you are as a person and sports plays a huge part in that journey. “ said former skipper.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_widget_sidebar sidebar_id=”td-default”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
