Since outbreaks most of the Journalists were covering the Covid related news coverage’s without proper equipment and knowledge about the risk of the pandemic.
Better example, last week over 100 journalists tested positive of Covid19 in India. After requests made by the PSJASL, A Quint Ondaatje Foundation Director/Goodwill Ambassador and well known rhythmic gymnast Anna-Marie Q Ondaatje donated complete 30 PPE kits to the Journalists and the Medical officials..
Also with the contribution of the members of the PSJASL donation extended to the Government free ambulance services medical staff. Continues donation to the “Suwasariya Ambulance Services “by donating PPE kits 1000 masks, 20L sanitizers and 500 hand wash soap bars to risky isolated Police division area medical staffs.
“We Are All Equal and Here for a Purpose” Rhythmic gymnast Anna-Marie Q Ondaatje stated
“I am ambitious to focus on human rights, creating change in areas of health and safety, education, hunger, shelter, gender equality, foster, abuse, women, disaster response, refugee, sports development, arts, culture and heritage, rural transformation and urban renewal. She said.
Anna-Marie Ondaatje is only 19, but her athletic legacy is already secure: as the first Rhythmic gymnast to represent Sri Lanka on the international stage, Ondaatje is already both pioneer and ambassador for her sport.
The Professional Sports Journalist Association also donated Special Task force to hand sanitizers and dispersers, which are of utmost importance in the fight against the coronavirus.
The President of the PSJASL Karuppiah Ramakrishnan, Secretary Chathuka Divashana, Treasure Yohan Bahasura and Executive member Kapila Liyanage were present at the donation.
